One-brain-cell kitten goes duck-fishing in a pond next to an old castle in Ireland, family stops him from falling in and gets him promptly adopted by the castle themselves: 'A happy reunion!'

This little kitty is living a life of royalty.

Not everyone lives next to a castle. In Europe and Great Britain, it's a dime a dozen to have historical buildings, beautiful architecture, or ancient castles just existing around you. The world can be such a unique and unusual place. For the family in this story, they do in fact live near a castle, Drimnagh castle to be exact, in Drimnagh, Ireland. They were at the castle and next to it is a duck pond. They were going about their merry way when they see this little one-brain-cell kitten trying to catch ducks double his size from the duck pond beside the old castle and visitor center. He just just a tiny and lost thing. They saved him from falling in, took him home where he started to play, eat, and sleep. They took him to the vet and there was no chip. They decided to call the castle the next morning and were told the castle themselves have been trying to adopt him!

The castle workers came and got him along with some toys he played with all night and some treats. It was an adorable reunion between king kitten and his castle. Though he's not orange, he still is a one brain cell kitty. This is the kind of story that appears so unexpectedly that it's too adorable not to read.

I'm eternally jealous that this kitty gets to be a castle cat. I always say that my cat is king of the castle, but my “castle” is a one bedroom apartment with almost no windows. I do love where I live, but there's something about the fantasy of living in a castle that just can't be paralleled. There's nowhere like a castle, with its lore and history, with the endless rooms and floors. It's sort of insane to think that people did and do just live there. The width of wealth is mind boggling, but hey, it's life isn't it? If you saw this little guy trying to catch ducks would you save him or let him play in the water?
